RACIST AI: Elon Musk accuses AI company of discriminating against White people

Elon Musk accused Anthropic's AI models of exhibiting bias against Whites, Asians, especially Chinese people, heterosexuals, and men, describing the systems as "misanthropic and evil" in a social media post on Thursday.

The criticism came in response to Anthropic's announcement of a $30 billion funding round at a $380 billion post-money valuation.

Musk wrote: "Your AI hates Whites & Asians, especially Chinese, heterosexuals, and men. This is misanthropic and evil. Fix it."

He added: "Frankly, I don’t think there is anything you can do to escape the inevitable irony of Anthropic ending up being Misanthropic. You were doomed to this fate when you chose your name. The Name of the Wind."

The post drew at least 1 million views within hours.

Anthropic, led by CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei, is known for its Claude family of large language models, which compete directly with xAI's Grok. The company announced a funding round that ranks as the second-largest private tech fundraising round to date, after OpenAI.

Musk has a history of criticizing Anthropic, including after reports that it cut off xAI's access to the Claude models last month.

Musk had previously posted on January 15: "Not quite on programming, but it will excel in other areas. [Anthropic has] done something special with coding. It was a helpful motivator that they cut us off [xAI] and not good for their karma."

On January 30, he wrote: "Always worth remembering that fate loves irony. The most ironic outcome for a company named [Anthropic] would be that it is the most misanthropic!"

Musk's comments also reference his ongoing feud with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
